A MESSAGE TO ALL OF OUR PATIENTS FROM NURSE ANNE MARTYN

After 28 years at Cheddar Medical Centre I am finally hanging up my uniform. Over this time i have seen many changes which we have all had to adapt too, both staff and patients.

I would just like to say to you all, THANK YOU FOR ALLOWING ME TO TREAT AND CARE FOR YOU, IT HAS BEEN BOTH A PLEASURE AND A PRIVILEGE.

Look after yourselves and each each other and be kind to all.

WE'D LIKE TO TAKE THIS OPPORTUNITY TO LET OUR PATIENTS KNOW THAT WE ARE NOW UNDER SIGNIFICANT PRESSURE WITH BOTH CLINICAL AND NON-CLINICAL MEMBERS OF OUR TEAM AWAY FROM WORK FOLLOWING POSITIVE COVID INFECTIONS.

WHILST THE GENERAL PUBLIC NO LONGER NEED TO ISOLATE, PEOPLE WORKING WITHIN THE HEALTH SECTOR DO STILL NEED TO ISOLATE FOR AT LEAST 6 DAYS FOLLOWING DIAGNOSIS.

AS I HOPE YOU CAN UNDERSTAND, THIS IS HAVING SIGNIFICANT IMPACT ON OUR ABILITY TO PROVIDE OUR NORMAL SERVICE AND ACCESSIBILITY. PLEASE BEAR WITH US.

THANK YOU

Home Visits

Doctor's bagHome visits are time consuming and have to be only for housebound patients or those too ill to come to the surgery.

If you need a home visit please try to ring before 11.00a.m. We appreciate that this may not always be possible but phoning early helps the doctors plan their day.

Please accept that our reception team WILL ask for information regarding the nature of the request to enable us to inform the GP and to safely manage patient priorities. Our GPs require this and you must be prepared to provide this information. Be assured that our entire team are governed by confidentiality agreements.
